Stenhousemuir 0 : 2 Airdrie United - Prunty punishes Warriors

Stenhousemuir slumped to their third successive league defeat after Bryan Prunty's double fired Airdrieonians to a 2-0 win at Ochilview Park.

Striker James Lister went close to opening the scoring for Airdrie but his curling effort grazed the crossbar.

Fellow forward Prunty did eventually put the visitors in front after 38 minutes when he touched in Scott Fraser's mis-hit shot from close range.

A swift counter attack from the Diamonds brought a second goal in the 58th minute after Prunty tapped in Lister's low cross.

Martin Grehan should have pulled one back for the Warriors but he could only head straight at goalkeeper Andy McNeil to cap off a frustrating afternoon.
