Falkirk 2 : 0 Livingston - Sibbald shines as Bairns cruise

Falkirk extended their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions with a routine 2-0 home win over basement boys Livingston in the Scottish Championship.

The home side took the lead in the eighth minute when Craig Sibbald crossed for Kieran Duffie to power a header past Livi goalkeeper Darren Jamieson - his first goal since December 2013.

Sibbald then set up a second eight minutes later, cutting the ball back for Will Vaulks to sidefoot home.

Jamieson saved well from Vaulks and Mark Kerr before the break as Falkirk pressed for a third.

Sibbald nodded a second-half chance wide before Jordan White squandered a glorious opportunity to pull a goal back for Livi with 12 minutes left, firing wide from close range.
