Morton vs Stranraer preview - MacDonald blow for Morton

Second-top Morton will be missing Peter MacDonald when leaders Stranraer visit in Scottish League One.

MacDonald has a back problem and there is a doubt over Michael Miller, however Stefan Milojevic is available after injury.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "This is an important game in the season and it would be terrific if we could get the better of a Stranraer side who have been a very solid outfit in the past two years.

"We have won a game and Stranraer have won a game but they have been affected by sending offs and it is hard to say if either of us has the upper hand, as both times the 11 men won."

Stranraer's on-loan Rangers striker Daniel Stoney is struggling to be available for the Cappielow encounter due to a back injury.

Better news for the Stair Park men is the availability of Steven Bell and Jon McShane who have shrugged off knocks picked up in last weekend's 2-0 win over Peterhead.

Manager Stephen Aitken said: "This is a big game and it would be massive for our club to win it, however win or lose nothing will be decided by the end of it.

"Morton will be backed by a decent crowd, but our players can handle that and guys like Willie Gibson and Stevie Bell will thrive on it."
