Leyton Orient 0 - 2 Bradford AFC - Hanson at the double

Two first-half goals by James Hanson gave Bradford a 2-0 win at Leyton Orient to leave them just one place and one point from a play-off position.

Hanson struck twice in 11 minutes, taking his personal tally for the season to the 11-goal mark in all competitions.

His first of the evening came on 21 minutes when he collected a cross delivered by Mark Yeates from the right flank before volleying the ball past O's keeper Alex Cisak from 18 yards.

That strike drained confidence from the home side and their plight was made worse when Hanson ran on unchallenged to meet a precision Filipe Morais free-kick from wide on the left and head the ball powerfully into the net from 12 yards.

Yet the visitors had been saved by the woodwork after 15 minutes when Romain Vincelot hit the crossbar before the ball was scrambled away for a corner..

Hanson was substituted at the interval but an entertaining second period saw both sides create a series of worthy chances.

Cisak produced point-blank saves to thwart Billy Clarke and Francis Zoko while O's forward Chris Dagnall saw a shot cleared off the line by Morais before the striker drew a full-length save from Bantams keeper Jordan Pickford.
