Cardiff City vs Blackburn Rovers preview - Pilkington still out for Bluebirds

Cardiff boss Russell Slade will be without Anthony Pilkington once more when they welcome Blackburn.

The winger was closing in on a return from his hamstring problem before suffering a setback having slipped in training and it will be two weeks before the former Norwich man can train with his team-mates again.

Slade is likely to ring the changes as the Bluebirds, without a win in six games after their 0-0 draw with Brighton last week, search for their first victory since early January.

Kadeem Harris, Alex Revell and Eoin Doyle are all likely to come into contention to boost an attack which managed just one shot on target against the Seagulls.

Blackburn are set to be without Ben Marshall.

The midfielder came off in the 4-1 FA Cup fifth-round win over Stoke at the weekend with a shoulder problem which will take another couple of days before it can be properly assessed, according to boss Gary Bowyer.

Jason Lowe remains sidelined with his foot injury but veteran David Dunn returned to full training on Monday following his calf problem while both Bolton loanees Alex Baptiste and Jay Spearing are eligible to appear again.

Bowyer made eight changes against the Potters and must decide how many of the starting line-up he wants to retain, with hat-trick hero Josh King having declared himself fit following cramp.
