Airdrie United 3 : 1 Forfar Athletic - Forfar slip up at Airdrie

Forfar missed out on the chance to go back into the automatic promotion places in Scottish League One after going down 3-1 at Airdrie.
With Morton edging into second place with a 1-1 draw at Brechin the spotlight was on Athletic, but they fluffed their lines.
The hosts enjoyed the perfect start, going in front after only five minutes when Marc Fitzpatrick converted James Lister's cross.
The evening took a considerable turn for the worse for Forfar midway through the first half when Bryan Prunty was hauled down by Gavin Malin in the area, with the midfielder being sent off for the foul.
Prunty stepped up and converted the spot kick for his 100th career goal.
Airdrie made the game safe with 14 minutes remaining when on-loan Dundee United man Scott Fraser finished off a fine delivery from Lister.
Forfar's Michael Travis scored an 86th-minute consolation but it made little difference to the outcome.
