Monaco's Ligue 1 clash with Montpellier on Saturday evening was postponed due to heavy rain in the principality.
The announcement came less than 10 minutes after Monaco announced their team for the match, which was due to kick off at 8pm local time (7pm GMT).
A statement on Monaco's official website read: "The match referee, Lionel Jaffredo, took the decision to postpone the match to a later date due to the meteorological conditions."
An accompanying photograph showed small patches of standing water around the halfway line as rain continued to fall over the Stade Louis II.
Monaco confirmed on Twitter that tickets will remain valid for the rearranged game, the date of which has yet to be confirmed. The club joked in a subsequent post: "You can now enjoy #SaintValentine's... #ASMonacoLoveU."
