Neymar talking Danilo out of Real move

Real Madrid now know that the main obstacle to them signing Danilo are their eternal enemies Barcelona, but more specifically, Neymar.

The Barça forward is a very close friend of the Porto right-back, who 'Los Blancos' want to see running up and down their right flank next season. For a while now, Neymar has been trying to persuade his Brazil teammate to join him at Barcelona.

Neymar and Danilo keep in regular contact over the phone. The Barça player has asked his friend to hang in there until Barça's FIFA sanction comes to an end in January 2016.

Barcelona president Bartomeu has publically announced that the club's strategy for the summer will be to sign but not register anyone with the Catalan club, meaning that whoever they buy will stay on loan at their respective clubs.

This is what the suits at the Camp Nou will be out to do with Danilo, the first right-back to have tickled Can Barça's fancy in a long while - as yet, no new signing has ever come close to dethroning the great Dani Alves.

Neymar and Danilo have known each other for years. They were together during Santos's great season (2010-2011) in which they ended up lifting the Libertadores cup. That year, they also triumphed with the Brazil team in the South American U-20 championship, in which they came out the winners. Both took part in London's Olympic Games, earning themselves silver.
