Lens striker Adamo Coulibaly believes a win over relegation rivals Evian on Saturday could prove a turning point for his side.
Evian visit Lens with both clubs desperate for points to try to escape the relegation zone in Ligue 1 - Evian are just a point ahead of the home side but a draw would leave both teams marooned in the bottom three.
Coulibaly told Lens' website: "We know that we have to win, especially against a direct relegation opponent and we are aware that this match could be a turning point of the season.
"There will be pressure, but we must turn it into positive pressure. It's not the final throw of the dice but we know a win will help us not to lose ground in the struggle to stay up."
Lens have drawn their last three matches, including an impressive 3-3 at St Etienne while Evian go into the game in the back of successive defeats.
The Evian squad have been meeting for breakfast together this week to promote team spirit and general manager Pascal Dupraz said they will fight to the bitter end.
He said: "We want the players to give everything and be prepared to die on the field, that sounds dramatic but you must be prepared to give your all."
