Airdrie United vs Forfar Athletic preview - Airdrie duo doubtful

Airdrie have doubts over Chris O'Neil and Ross Docherty ahead of meeting Forfar at the Excelsior Stadium.

Diamonds boss Gary Bollan is looking for a first win over their opponents this season.

He said: "We have had two really close games with a strong Forfar side this season but have not come out on top. They won here after a last-minute goal in a game where we had a strong penalty appeal turned down just before that.

"We drew up at their place so we know that despite the difference in league placings we are not that far away from them. If we win this game then we are heading in the right direction in the race for the play-offs."

Fit-again Forfar striker Dale Hilson could start but defender Mark Baxter is out due to an ankle injury.

The Loons are looking to extend the loan of full-back Iain Campbell from Cowdenbeath in time to feature.

Assistant manager Ian Campbell said: "This will be a really tight game, however we are going into it on the back of a good performance and a good win over Peterhead.

"Airdrie are a good side who will fight for every ball and if we are to win we need to be as good as we were last weekend."
