Raith Rovers vs Falkirk preview - Carrick blow for Raith

Raith will miss on-loan striker Dale Carrick against Falkirk after he returned to Hearts early due to a hamstring injury, while Calum Elliot is also absent due to a knee problem.

Manager Grant Murray is looking for his side to build on last Sunday's success when they knocked Rangers out of the Scottish Cup.

He said: "We have been on a good run - which started against Falkirk - and winning at Ibrox shows further what this team is capable of.

"Hopefully we can use the confidence we have taken from that success to help us a get a win and move closer to Falkirk in the table."

Falkirk are without Aaron Muirhead and Owain Tudur-Jones, who both have knee injuries.

Alex Cooper joins them on the sidelines as he is banned after getting sent off in a midweek Development League game.

The Bairns are out for revenge and manager Peter Houston said: "We had won four games in a row just before Christmas, however Rovers ended that run. It is a game that we could have won, so I am keen that we win those points back in this meeting.

"They will be on a high after their victory last weekend but we have confidence as well as we are also in the cup quarter-finals."
