Coventry - Scunthorpe United preview - Webster to miss out for Coventry
Posted Tuesday, February 10, 2015 by PA
Centre-back Andy Webster is expected to be ruled out for Coventry with a shoulder injury.
Everton loanee Matthew Pennington is expected to step into the breach, with right-back Aaron Phillips available after a knee injury.
Frank Nouble is expected to be out for three to four weeks with a muscle tear and was due to have a scan.
Recent loan signing Sanmi Odelusi remains a doubt after suffering a hamstring injury in training.
Scunthorpe boss Mark Robins could hand recent signing Kevin van Veen his full debut for the club.
Van Veen made his first appearance off the substitutes' bench in Saturday's home defeat to Oldham and if the Dutch striker is to start, Robins must decide whether that is in place of Tom Hopper or Paddy Madden.
George Evans, on loan from Manchester City, is pushing for his first start for the club after two substitute appearances, while fellow midfielder Gary McSheffrey is expected to resume after having a recent pain-killing injection in his knee.
Goalkeepers Sam Slocombe and James Severn are both recovering from broken arms so Luke Daniels is expected to make his fourth appearance for the Iron.
