Chesterfield vs Preston preview - As you were for Spireites

Chesterfield have no new problems as they prepare to host Preston.

Winger Gary Roberts (hamstring) remains the only injury absentee for the Spireites, who consolidated fifth place in the table with a 1-0 win at Notts County on Saturday.

Caolan Lavery made his full debut at Meadow Lane in place of departed top scorer Eoin Doyle and, after netting the winning goal against the Magpies, the on-loan Sheffield Wednesday striker could keep his place in the starting line up on Tuesday night.

Any changes to the team will be kept to a minimum but Blues boss Paul Cook does have plenty of options at his disposal in the shape of of Mark Duffy, Ritchie Humphreys, Charlie Raglan, Byron Harrison, Ollie Banks and Mani Dieseruvwe.

Both Paul Gallagher and Calum Woods are set for late fitness tests when Preston travel.

Forward Gallagher (knock) and full-back Woods (hamstring) were both withdrawn during North End's 1-0 victory over Coventry on Saturday and will be checked on prior to kick off.

Jermaine Beckford remains sidelined with an ear infection, as do fellow on-loan forward Callum Robinson (hamstring) and Jordan Hugill (knee).

However, top scorer Joe Garner (shin) will look to play more of a role following two substitute cameo appearances.
