Morecambe vs Mansfield preview - Shrimps praying for Parrish
Posted Monday, February 09, 2015 by PA
Morecambe are sweating on the availability of defender Andy Parrish ahead of their clash with Mansfield.
Parrish complained of feeling ill when he was withdrawn at half-time in Saturday's loss to Northampton and the Shrimps are hopeful he has not picked up a virus.
Midfielder Stewart Drummond is nearing a return after needing stitches in a knee injury picked up at Plymouth late last month.
Andy Wright is on the comeback trail following his hernia operation, as is goalkeeper Barry Roche (hip).
Ricky Ravenhill is a doubt for Mansfield after suffering a hamstring problem at the weekend.
Ravenhill was a late omission from the Stags starting line-up against Stevenage after sustaining the injury during the warm up. The veteran midfielder will probably not be involved on Tuesday night.
Reggie Lambe will hope to have done enough to earn himself a place in the team after stepping off the bench to score the winning goal on Saturday. Lambe came on at half-time for Billy Kee, who had spent much of the week struggling with illness.
Saturday's game was the last of Callum Elder's loan spell but Mansfield are hopeful of extending the Leicester's left-back's stay and it may be done in time for him to feature at the Globe Arena.
