Parma vs Chievo preview - Parma-Chievo clash postponed

Parma's Serie A meeting with Chievo has been postponed due heavy snow at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

The Italian league's bottom side were due to host 18th-placed Chievo in Parma at 2pm on Sunday afternoon but inclement weather means the game will now be played on Wednesday.

Tweets published through Serie A's official account confirmed the new date and a revised kick-off time of 5pm (GMT).

Financially-stricken Parma currently sit at the foot of the table, 10 points adrift of safety after last weekend's 3-1 loss at AC Milan - their fourth straight defeat.

The Ducale club, who finished an impressive sixth in the top flight last term, have won just three and lost 17 of their 21 league games.

Off the pitch, Parma have been warned by the Italian football league that they could risk going into administration if they do not pay the wages owed to their players by February 15.

Meanwhile, Sunday's 2-1 home defeat to Napoli dropped Chievo into the relegation zone, where they are one point and one place adrift of 17th-placed Cagliari.
