Cheltenham Town vs Burton Albion FC preview - New-look Robins to face Burton

Cheltenham could hand debuts to up to five new faces when they host Burton.

Paul Buckle was a busy man in the build-up to the transfer window closing as he looks to secure his side's first home win in eight games against the Brewers, bringing in Eliot Richards, Denny Johnstone, Wes Burns, Mathieu Manset and Jordan Wynter.

And with Terry Gornell and Steve Elliott leaving to pastures new, the Robins group will have a fresh look for what Buckle has described as 'a fresh start'.

Liverpool loanee Jack Dunn will hope to keep his place despite the influx of new forwards having scored three times in five Town appearances.

Ivan Calero is expected to make his debut for Burton after joining on loan from Derby.

The Spanish midfielder had been training with Albion prior to making the short move to the Pirelli Stadium on a month-long deal on transfer deadline day. He could be joined in the squad by Rams team-mate Tom Naylor, who has also signed a loan deal with the Brewers.

However, winger Alex McDonald has signed for Burton's League Two rivals Oxford since Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's men were last in action against Bury seven days ago.

Defender Kelvin Maynard (hip) and midfielder Matty Palmer missed that 1-0 home win over the Shakers through injury and it is hoped both could return to contention on Saturday.
