Livingston and Alloa had to settle for a share of the spoils as the bottom two sides in the Scottish Championship ground out a goalless draw at Almondvale Stadum.

Daniel Mullen, with three goals in his last two games, twice had opportunities to put Livi in front only to be denied by Alloa goalkeeper Craig McDowall.

Liam Buchanan poked a Greig Spence cross inches wide for Alloa before Kyle Benedictus' header was parried by Livi keeper Darren Jamieson.

Burton O'Brien hit a post for Livi just before half-time and there was still time for Jamieson to save well from Spence.

Benedictus headed another good chance over after the break while Ibra Sekajja fired just wide for the hosts moments after coming off the bench.

Livi defender Callum Fordyce headed a Mark Docherty cross off the line and Sekajja forced McDowall into a smart late save as two of the lowest-scoring teams failed in front of goal once more.

Livi remain without a home victory in nine league games dating back to mid-September with Alloa, who last triumphed on the road in August, winless in 11 in the division.
