Arsene Wenger give a transfer update ahead of deadline on 2 February
Arsene Wenger says he doesn't expect Arsenal to make any more signings in the January transfer window.
The Gunners snapped up Gabriel Paulista in a reported £11.3m deal from La Liga outfit Villarreal on Wednesday evening.
Arsenal also signed Poland youth international Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw for an undisclosed fee earlier this month.
The Gunners have been linked with a sensational move for struggling Barcelona striker Luis Suarez in recent days.
But speaking at his pre-match media conference at London Colney on Friday, Wenger ruled out any more signings.
"If I wake up in the morning and somebody's stood in front of my door who is an exceptional player, I will open the door.
"It looks very unlikely now. I can give you my address if you want."
Wenger added that centre-half Gabriel will be expected to push first-choice defensive pairing Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny for a starting spot.
"We are in a job where competition exists. The best player of the moment plays," Wenger added.
"He's ready to go. He'll be in the squad certainly. He started training yesterday (Thursday) and he looks fit.
"I saw great quality. His level of concentration, he's quick, has great commitment and he's young."
