Exeter City vs Tranmere Rovers preview - Grecians wait on trio

Exeter will hand fitness tests to three players ahead of the visit of Tranmere.

Playmaker Ryan Harley missed last weekend's 2-2 draw with Oxford after sustaining a hamstring injury and will be assessed along with Jamie McAllister, who is suffering from a similar problem.

Defender Scot Bennett limped out of that draw after just 21 minutes with an ankle injury and will be assessed, but experienced forward Clinton Morrison (hamstring) is expected to rejoin the squad.

City, who are looking to do the double over Rovers, have lost their last two home games.

Tranmere will welcome a trio of new signings into their squad.

Iain Hume, Josh Thompson and Adam Dugdale have all completed moves to Micky Adams' side until the end of the season.

Thompson is likely to retain his place in the defence, having previously been on loan, but Dugdale may have to wait a bit longer having endured a frustrating time with injuries of late.

Hume is unlikely to start due to a lack of match fitness and Marcus Holness (knee) is still out, but Marc Laird could start after returning to the bench following a head injury.
