Morecambe vs AFC Wimbledon preview - Drummond doubt for Shrimps
Posted Friday, January 30, 2015 by PA
Stewart Drummond is an injury doubt for Morecambe ahead of the visit of AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
Drummond sustained a knee injury against Plymouth that has required stitches and swelled up badly.
Andy Wright will be missing after undergoing a hernia operation but Barry Roche could return after making good progress from a long-term hip injury.
Ryan Williams is also recovering from a groin problem that has kept him out since December.
Wimbledon will be without Jake Goodman after the on-loan Millwall youngster suffered a toe injury.
Fellow defenders Andy Frampton (ankle) and Jack Smith (thigh) remain sidelined, although the latter is back in training and has been pencilled in for a return next month.
Boss Neal Ardley says he has a couple of other players carrying knocks who will be assessed and plans to rotate his squad with nine games coming up in 35 days.
One player who definitely will not be involved is Harry Pell after the midfielder joined non-league Eastleigh on Thursday.
