Leyton Orient vs Scunthorpe United preview - Injuries mount up for Orient

Struggling Leyton Orient have a host of injury concerns ahead of the visit of Scunthorpe.

Defender Scott Cuthbert missed last weekend's 2-0 defeat by Colchester with an ankle problem and veteran striker Kevin Lisbie, recently back from a long-term shoulder injury, sat out with a knock.

Both will be assessed along with winger Dean Cox (hip) and striker Darius Henderson (foot).

Adam Legzdins, Jay Simpson, Marvin Bartley, Jobi McAnuff and Lloyd James are set to miss out again for the O's, who are now just two points off the foot of the table.

Scunthorpe boss Mark Robins has a couple of selection dilemmas as he is expected to select from an unchanged squad.

Niall Canavan staked his claim for an extended run in central defence after stepping in for Miguel Llera in the midweek draw against MK Dons, while forward Gary McSheffrey was impressive after replacing Jacob Murphy in the second half.

Recent signing Luke Daniels will resume in goal after making his debut on Tuesday night, with Sam Slocombe and James Severn both recovering from broken arms.

Scunthorpe, three points above the relegation zone, have lost only one of their last nine league matches.
