Crawley Town vs Preston North End preview - Leacock back for Reds

Crawley could welcome back Dean Leacock for the visit of Preston.

Defender Leacock has been sidelined since Boxing Day with a groin problem and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Town also hoped to have Josh Simpson back in contention but the midfielder has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury and could be out for another month.

Conor Henderson (ankle) and Brian Jensen (thumb) are still out and Matt Harrold is struggling with an Achilles problem.

Daniel Johnson will be available to Preston boss Simon Grayson for the first time since his arrival from Aston Villa.

The midfielder has been cup-tied for the last two games and is set to feature alongside Sam Johnstone, who was also unavailable in the cup.

Jermaine Beckford is likely to have recovered from illness, but he will have to oust Sylvan Ebanks-Blake who scored his first goal for the club last week.

However, Joe Garner, Jordan Hugill and Andy Little all remain unavailable with long-term injuries.
