Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi is frustrated by his team's recent dip in form but is confident the Giallorossi will challenge Juventus for the Scudetto this season.
The Eternal City giants head into Sunday's match at Fiorentina having drawn three of their last four Serie A games.
Last weekend's 1-1 draw at Palermo allowed Juve to move five points clear of Roma at the top of the standings.
"We are not going through a good spell," Florenzi told Roma TV. "But with the group that we have we will come out of it.
"We have drawn games in which we deserved much more despite playing badly.
"We need to make sure we turn things around starting on Sunday.
"We are a great team and we showed this earlier in the season.
"Now we must get back on track.
"We want to lift a trophy this season and we will battle for the Scudetto until the end."
Roma coach Rudi Garcia welcomes back midfield pair Radja Nainggolan and Daniele De Rossi from suspension.
Fiorentina are hoping Mario Gomez can pick up where he left off in midweek.
The German forward struck a brace against Atalanta in Wednesday's 3-1 triumph in the Coppa Italia to set up a meeting with Roma in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Gomez, who has found the back of the net just once in 10 Serie A appearances this season, had failed to score since November 30.
"These goals will no doubt give Gomez more self-confidence," Montella said. "He played a good game and really helped the team."
Gomez will lead Fiorentina's attack against Roma with Chelsea reported target Juan Guillermo Cuadrado playing in support.
Fiorentina are riding a three-match winning run in all competitions and last weekend's 2-1 victory at Chievo lifted the Viola to sixth place.
The hosts, who have lost twice at the Artemio Franchi stadium this season, are without the services of defender Stefan Savic, who is suspended.
