Dumbarton 1 - 5 Livingston - Visitors Living it up with big win

Posted Sunday, January 25, 2015 by PA

Livingston halted a five-game winless run as Daniel Mullen and Jordan White each fired a double in a 5-1 win that condemned Dumbarton to a fourth straight league defeat.

Livingston made a dream start when White opened the scoring in the fifth minute, heading home midfielder Nejc Praprotnik's pinpoint cross for his 10th goal of the season.

Dumbarton's Garry Fleming and midfielder Scott Linton were both wayward, while Scott Agnew and David van Zanten also squandered chances for the home side before the break.

Mullen twice went close for Livingston and the visitors made Dumbarton pay with a second goal in the 63rd minute.

Praprotnik was again the supplier and Mullen swept home his cross, high into the net from seven yards.

Mullen grabbed his second 10 minutes later, steering home Keaghan Jacobs' ball into the six-yard box.

Jacobs fired home from White's assist in the 79th minute and White converted his second after being played in by Michael McKenna two minutes later before Dumbarton substitute Donald McCallum scored a late consolation for the home side.
