Queen of the South are without the suspended Mark Durnan against Hibernian after he was dismissed last weekend at Falkirk.

Chris Mitchell (back) could be involved for the first time this season, but Ian McShane and Scott Hooper are doubts and Kevin Dzierzawski has joined Peterhead on loan.

Stephen McKenna (heel) and Paul Burns (knee) are not ready to return after lengthy absences.

Player-manager James Fowler said: "Hibs are in very good form so we need to play well to pick up points. We have done well against them in the two games so far this season and we aiming to make it three games now."

HIbernian striker Franck Djedje will miss the Scottish Championship encounter with a hamstring strain.

Jordon Forster is not match fit following injury and illness and David Gray (groin), Farid El Alagui (Achilles) and Dominique Malonga (international duty) remain unavailable.

Head coach Alan Stubbs said: "Every game in this division is tough and this one won't be any different.

"We have prepared correctly and we will head into this match with the intention of producing a thorough, professional and clinical performance that will enable us to win."
