Doncaster Rovers vs Notts County preview - Rovers wait on Razak clearance

Doncaster could include new signing Abdul Razak in their squad against Notts County.

The former Manchester City midfielder has completed his move from Greek club OFI Crete, signing a deal until the end of the season. He trained with his new team-mates on Monday but Rovers boss Paul Dickov is still awaiting international clearance.

Doncaster have no new problems following the 1-0 home victory over south Yorkshire rivals Barnsley. Harry Forrester and Nathan Tyson impressed after coming on as substitutes at the weekend, with the former scoring the winning goal, and both forwards will be pushing for starting roles on Tuesday night.

Midfielder Dean Furman is still away with South Africa for the African Nations Cup and centre-half Rob Jones (knee) remains some way off a return from injury.

Notts will be without Liam Noble again after the midfielder picked up another suspension.

Noble returned from a five-match ban on Saturday but was sent off once more deep into injury-time against Crewe after receiving a second yellow card. He will now begin a two-game absence.

Magpies manager Shaun Derry will pick from Alan Smith, Curtis Thompson and Elliott Whitehouse to replace the 23-year-old. New signing Billy Daniels will also be pushing for a full debut after marking his first appearance for the club with the winning goal from the bench against Crewe.

Mike Edwards missed out at the weekend and the defender will have his hamstring problem checked.
