Deportivo La Coruna vs Barcelona preview - Enrique won't overlook Depor

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has vowed his team will not take struggling Deportivo La Coruna lightly on Sunday despite a Copa del Rey quarter-final against Atletico Madrid looming large on the horizon.
The Catalan giants' much-changed line-up wrapped up a 9-0 aggregate cup victory over Elche on Thursday evening with a 4-0 second-leg triumph to set up a tantalising last-eight tie against Primera Division champions Atletico.
The quarter-final first leg takes place at the Nou Camp on Wednesday, but Enrique will not worry about that until after this weekend's business in La Liga has been dealt with.
"The players are only focusing on Deportivo," he said at his pre-match press conference, quoted on www.fcbarcelona.com. "We have to win every game and shouldn't be thinking about other things. Right now, all we care about is (Sunday's) match. We'll have time to talk about Atletico afterwards."
Barca lost their last league game on the road, 1-0 at Real Sociedad, and were held to a 0-0 draw at Getafe before the winter break too.
Enrique acknowledged playing away from home posed problems.
"It's only logical for us to face greater difficulties when we play away," said the 44-year-old, whose side head into the weekend in second place - one point behind arch rivals Real Madrid.
"There are a lot of reasons why it's easier to play at home, and we expect a tough match against a Depor side that will be a threat in certain phases of the game."
Victor Fernandez's side go into the weekend just one point above the relegation zone, but have at least had a full week to prepare for the game as they were not involved in midweek cup action.
"I would much rather have a full week to get ready for games," Enrique added. "But at big clubs like this, we are used to playing every three days or so. We have to win every game and shouldn't be thinking about other things."
Enrique confirmed Brazil forward Neymar was available despite getting kicked in the heel last weekend.
Barca will be without France defender Jeremy Mathieu, who will not travel to Galicia and is to undergo further tests to determine the extent of his Achilles tendon problem.
Midfielder Xavi has not been given the medical all-clear, but the club website reported he was able to train with his team-mates as normal on Saturday morning at the Ciutat Esportiva.
Depor coach Fernandez will be without the services of winger Lucas Perez (knee), playmaker Luis Farina (stress fracture) and striker Helder Postiga (back surgery).
President Tino Fernandez confirmed during the presentation of midfielder Celso Borges earlier this week that the club were working hard behind the scenes to reinforce Fernandez's squad for the second half of the season.
"Yes we could have more signings, but as the legend says: before allowing an entry, first someone must leave," he said. "We will see what we can do. We will see from where the signings will come.
"The responsible people for the engine are back there and they, together with (sporting advisor) Fernando Vidal, are searching for solutions and in the end the goal is to improve Deportivo, solidify the project and reinforce a good squad. We have enough squad to achieve the goal and will study the opportunities can be offered by the market."
He added on www.deportivo-la-coruna.com: "What I can confirm to you is that this operation (the signing of Borges) isn't closing the winter market for Deportivo."
Former Barca winger Isaac Cuenca will turn out for the home team, and is relishing the clash with his former club following his summer switch from the Nou Camp.
"This isn't a typical week for me," the 23-year-old said on www.fcbarcelona.com. "Everyone is asking me how I feel to be facing my old team. I'm happy to be going up against my ex-team-mates and the colours I used to wear."
