Stranraer 0 : 2 Brechin City - Wighton extends Brechin run

Craig Wighton scored in both halves to earn Brechin their fourth successive win with a 2-0 victory at Stranraer.

Wighton went into the game having scored just once this season but forced David Mitchell into a fine save with just five minutes on the clock as the visitors flew out of the traps.

It was the young Dundee loanee who broke the deadlock a minute before the break, firing in a right-foot effort from the centre of the box.

Stranraer struggled to create chances but Colin Hamilton went close with a 66th-minute header that fell wide.

The game was put to bed with 73 minutes on the clock, Wighton nodding in Robert Barr's floated corner to make it 13 games unbeaten for Brechin.
