Hibernian could hand a debut to new striker Franck Dja Djedje when they host fellow Scottish Championship play-off hopefuls Falkirk.

The new arrival comes in after Dominque Malonga departed on African Nations Cup duty with Congo, while right-back David Gray faces six weeks out following groin surgery.

Goalkeeper Mark Oxley has extended his loan from Hull but Matthew Kennedy has returned to Everton.

New loan signing Martin Boyle is set for his home debut while Jordon Forster is close to a comeback from injury and illness. Dylan McGeouch returned from surgery at Tynecastle but Farid El Alagui remains out.

Head coach Alan Stubbs said: "It's a chance for us again to get a big crowd at Easter Road. They are potentially going to be one of our challengers for one of the play-off spots so it's a chance for us to put another performance in and create a gap between the teams below us."

Cowdenbeath have John Armstrong and Kenny Adamson closing in on places in manager Jimmy Nicholl's squad after lengthy injuries.

However, Dean Brett looks set to miss out due to a foot injury.

Nicholl said: "We went to Easter Road earlier in the season and after a disappointing first half we gave them lots of problems in the second. We could have won the game and another performance like those 45 minutes is what we are after.

"Our game at Livingston last weekend was similar in that we were much better in the second half and we need to put in a strong 90 minutes to get anything at Hibs."
