Peterhead vs Stirling Albion preview - Riley absent for Blue Toon

Peterhead will be without Nicky Riley against Stirling.

The new signing is unavailable due to a long-standing family commitment but Blue Toon boss Jim McInally has everyone else available.

McInally reckons that the result of Saturday's game will shape his side's season, he said: "If we win we are right in the mix with the sides going for promotion, whereas if we lost it we need to keep an eye on Stirling beneath us.

"Stirling are an improving side and they have also done well at our place in their recent visits so we will have to play well to get the win."

Albion will be without Lewis Coult as the striker is beginning a two-match ban following his red card in the 2-2 draw with Dunfermline.

Steven Doris remains out with a stomach muscle injury and Darren Smith is not yet ready to return following knee surgery.

Stirling assistant manager Martyn Corrigan said: "Peterhead are a strong side and won well at Airdrie last Saturday but if we play like we can, we will take something from this game.

"The players were magnificent last weekend and despite losing an injury-time goal they should be pleased with how hard we pushed Dunfermline with 10 men."
