Falkirk vs Queen of South preview - No Muirhead for Bairns

Falkirk will be without recent signing Aaron Muirhead against promotion rivals Queen of the South due to a knee injury.

Owain Tudur-Jones also remains absent following knee surgery.

The Bairns recovered from two goals down to draw 3-3 with Hibernian last weekend and manager Peter Houston is looking for his side to build on their stirring comeback.

Houston said: "The players deserve great credit for battling back and I am looking for them to show the same approach from the first whistle in this game. There is a small prize available if we win as it moves us into the top four and we are determined to claim it."

Queen of the South have a full squad of outfield players for the first time this season, with Chris Mitchell, Stephen McKenna and Paul Burns available after lengthy injuries.

New signing Mark Millar is also included against one of his former clubs and on-loan St Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark is the only doubt due to a foot injury.

Manager James Fowler said: "Falkirk have invested heavily in their squad this month, however I am confident with the players I have that we can get a result at their place.

"We are ahead of Falkirk just now and want to end this game in the same place."
