Northampton Town vs Dagenham and Redbridge preview - Toney boost for Cobblers

Northampton welcome back Ivan Toney after the striker completed his three-match suspension.

Zander Diamond is also available following a hamstring strain he suffered in the 2-1 defeat to Tranmere last month.

But boss Chris Wilder is unlikely to make many changes from the 2-0 win at Exeter last week.

Kaid Mohamed remains out after surgery on a broken metatarsal as does Gregor Robertson (ribs), while Ian Morris (knee) is out for the season.

Dagenham will assess Matt Partridge.

The defender was forced off in the first half against Oxford last week because of a leg injury and Damian Batt is in line to feature if he cannot make it.

Full-back Joe Widdowson should also come into the matchday squad after joining the club on a permanent deal this month.

However, the Daggers are exercising caution over long-term injury absentee Zavon Hines (knee), who is likely to feature for the reserves again before he is thrust into first-team action.
