Inter Milan new boy Xherdan Shaqiri has confirmed he turned down Premier League clubs to move to Italy last week.
The Switzerland international left Bayern Munich for the Serie A side last week to secure more first-team action.
That came as a blow to Liverpool, who had long been chasing his signature, as well as Stoke and a host of other European sides.
"When I decided to leave Bayern, my brother (and agent) looked around," said Shaqiri.
"Juve was one of the possibilities, but in the end Inter for me was the best solution."
"I had other offers from England and Germany, I spoke with (Inter boss, Roberto) Mancini and after hearing him and after he explained the project that concerned me, for me the choice was clear."
"The very first thing that struck me was the fans at the airport, an emotion that I will remember forever. Now I cannot wait to take to the field."
