Juventus Make £14m Move For Liverpool Flop Mario Balotelli

Massimiliano Allegri confirms interest in taking striker back to Serie A.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed his interest in taking Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli back to Serie A and ending his miserable time back in the Premier League, report the Times, with the Old Lady set to make a move that could see Liverpool recoup £14 million – almost all of the fee that they paid to AC Milan for the flop striker in the summer.

Allegri has worked successfully with Balotelli before, as the Italian international put in the best performances of his spell at AC Milan under the former San Siro manager, and Juventus have been keen to bring in another striker to add to their roster after Dani Osvaldo returned to Southampton in the summer.

The report suggests that Allegri and Juventus are set to launch a move to sign Balotelli on an initial loan deal until the end of the season, that would then see the former Manchester City and Inter Milan maverick move to Turin on a permanent deal for £14m.

With Balotelli yet to score a Premier League goal for Liverpool and once again having been in the bench, with Fabio Borini favoured, for the weekend victory at Sunderland, Liverpool could well view the opportunity to recoup most of their outlay on Balotelli as one that is too good to be missed.
