Stirling Albion 2 - 2 Dunfermline - Stirling suffer late heartache

Posted Sunday, January 11, 2015 by PA

Lewis Martin denied rock-bottom Stirling a first home win of the season as Dunfermline snatched a 2-2 draw in injury time.

Albion had to play the entire second half with 10 men after Lewis Coult was sent off seven minutes before half-time for a foul on Martin.

Things looked even bleaker for the hosts four minutes later when Allan Smith tucked home Joshua Falkingham's pass for his third goal of the season.

But Chris Smith struck on the hour, heading in Craig Comrie's cross to haul Stirling level, and 12 minutes from time Craig Wedderburn fired them within touching distance of an unlikely victory.

However, two minutes into stoppage time Albion failed to clear Ross Millen's corner and Martin drove in the equaliser.
