Stranraer vs Forfar Athletic preview - Stranraer hopeful on McShane

League One leaders Stranraer are hoping to add East Fife striker Jon McShane on loan ahead of kick-off against visitors Forfar.

Stair Park manager Stephen Aitken has received another boost with Scott Robertson and Sam McCloskey being passed fit to give him a full squad to choose from.

Aitken said: "There has been nothing between ourselves and Forfar all season and I expect this game to be the same.

"We are going into it after a good win at Ayr which was important after losing to Stenhousemuir the week before.

"Forfar will be looking to bounce back after losing to Brechin and that will make a hard game even harder."

Forfar have midfielder Derek Young available after three months out with a knee injury, with the Loons missing only Jim Paterson who has moved onto Dunfermline.

Manager Dick Campbell is planning changes to his squad after last weekend's 2-0 defeat from Brechin.

He said: "I picked the team on Thursday and have made a few changes as we were just not like ourselves last time out.

"Hopefully they will give us the spark needed as the games with Stranraer have been very tight all season and we need to be at our best to win.

"Stranraer are a good side but hopefully they will be disappointed after this game."
