Airdrie United vs Peterhead preview - Gasparotto absent for Aridrie

In-form Airdrie take on Peterhead and the Diamonds are without on-loan Rangers defender Luca Gasparotto as he is on international duty with the Canadian under-20 side.

David Proctor remains out with a back problem, however Paddy Boyle and Keighan Parker return after illness kept them out of last Saturday's 1-0 win over Morton.

Manager Gary Bollan said: "It was a good win at Cappielow and allowed us to continue our quiet climb up the table.

"Peterhead won 2-0 at our place earlier in the season so we know how difficult they can be. Keeping their striker Rory McAllister quiet will be key."

Peterhead lost midfielder Mark Millar to Queen of the South this week, though they have secured an extension to Cammy Kerr's loan period from Dundee.

Nicky Riley is set to play as a trialist, however Ryan McCann, Dean Richardson and Fraser McLaren remain at junior clubs getting match practice after injuries.

Manager Jim McInally said: "Airdrie are on a very good run just now but if we win we would go above them.

"We did well after a slow start at Dunfermline last weekend to get a 1-1 draw and a repeat of our second-half performance for the entire 90 minutes would be great."
