Hibernian FC vs Falkirk preview - Hibs new boy set for debut

Hibernian could hand a debut to new striker Franck Dja Djedje when they host fellow Scottish Championship play-off hopefuls Falkirk.

The new arrival comes in after Dominque Malonga departed on African Nations Cup duty with Congo, while right-back David Gray faces six weeks out following groin surgery.

Goalkeeper Mark Oxley has extended his loan from Hull but Matthew Kennedy has returned to Everton.

New loan signing Martin Boyle is set for his home debut while Jordon Forster is close to a comeback from injury and illness.

Head coach Alan Stubbs said: "It's a chance for us again to get a big crowd at Easter Road. They are potentially going to be one of our challengers for one of the play-off spots so it's a chance for us to put another performance in and create a gap between the teams below us."

Falkirk include new signings John Baird and Taylor Morgan in their travelling party but a third new recruit, Aaron Muirhead, is an injury doubt.

Former Easter Road player Owain Tudur-Jones is the only definite absentee with a knee injury.

Manager Peter Houston said: "We have had two good games against Hibs this season and two good results and it would be terrific to make it three.

"After our good run was ended by Raith a couple of weeks ago it was important to get winning again and that is what we did against Alloa last Saturday, so we can go into this game with confidence."
