Dumbarton vs Hearts preview - Sons target Hearts scalp

Dumbarton manager Ian Murray lists the same squad that lost to Rangers last weekend for the visit of leaders Hearts.

The injured Mark McLaughlin (back) and Jordan Kirkpatrick (hip) both remain unavailable.

Murray's side were the first to take points of the Edinburgh men this season in a goalless draw back in September and the Sons boss reckons his side are capable of doing even better this time.

"We have improved since the first quarter of games," said Murray. "And Hearts, despite still being very strong, have shaded a bit so we are in with chance if we play well."

Hearts could hand a debut to Genero Zeefuik after signing the powerful 24-year-old striker on loan from Dutch side Groningen.

The Dutchman comes in as fellow strikers Osman Sow and Dale Carrick prepare to return to full training on Monday, while another forward, Soufian El Hassnaoui, is still out with an ankle problem alongside left-back Kevin McHattie (knee).

Head coach Robbie Neilson said: "It's a big crowd, a big atmosphere from the usual atmosphere you get at Dumbarton so the Dumbarton players will be ready for it and will see it as a huge scalp.

"They'll get that extra energy, extra belief and we have to go down there and handle that."
