Alloa Athletic vs Glasgow Rangers preview - Duo out of Rangers visit

Posted Friday, January 09, 2015 by PA

Alloa will be without Iain Flannigan and Adam Ashgar when they meet Rangers for a fourth time this season.

Flannigan has a back injury and Ashgar is sidelined by a foot problem

The Wasps are undefeated against the Glasgow side and manager Barry Smith said: "I am sure that Kenny McDowall is looking to put his mark on things at Rangers and one of the ways to do that is by getting a win over us.

"We can be confident about getting something after our games against them this season, however we have to be wary."

Rangers have no fresh injuries as they return to Alloa six weeks on from their humiliating Petrofac Training Cup defeat to the Wasps.

The Ibrox side travel to the Indodrill Stadium with memories of that 3-2 defeat at the start of December still painfully fresh.

Defender Marius Zaliukas is back training with the first team after shaking off a knee injury but goalkeeper Cammy Bell (shoulder) is still not fit enough to feature.
