Accrington vs Bury preview - Seventh heaven for Macey

Posted Friday, January 09, 2015 by PA

Matt Macey could become the seventh goalkeeper Accrington have used this season if he makes his debut against Bury.

West Brom loanee Jack Rose (hip) is back in training but 20-year-old Macey was recruited on Thursday because Luke Simpson has left the club at the end of his deal.

Loanees Lee Molyneux and Matt Crooks are back with their parent clubs but Seamus Conneely has international clearance to make his debut.

Craig Roddan also left Accrington this week but the Sky Bet League Two club's squad is in rude health, although Adam Buxton (thigh) has only just returned to training.

Nick Pope is another goalkeeper in line to make his debut for Bury.

The Charlton loanee signed this week because of an ankle injury to Shwan Jalal - who is still a couple of weeks away.

The Shakers remain without Daniel Nardiello (hamstring), Pablo Mills (groin) and Keil O'Brien (knee), while loanee Rob Milsom is back at Rotherham because of a thigh strain.

Full-back Hayden White has likely played his last game for the club as he continues to serve a suspension.
