Levante vs Deportivo La Coruna - Navarro desperate for a win

Levante captain David Navarro has called on the club supporters to get behind the team in Friday's home game against Deportivo La Coruna.

Lucas Alcaraz's side has not won a game since beating city rivals Valencia 2-1 on November 23 and has collected three points since - all from draws.

Last weekend's 3-1 defeat at Atletico Madrid dropped Levante to 17th position, one place and one point clear of the relegation zone.

"This is a must-win game for us," Navarro told his club' s official website. "We need three points not just for the standings but to regain our confidence.

"This is a key match for us and we cannot let this opportunity go by.

"We need to return to winning ways and for that to happen we will need the support of our fans.

"This is a very important game for the club and I ask the fans to be there in order to help us take three points.

"I know that our fans will not let us down."

Levante head into the encounter on the back of Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at Malaga in the first leg of the Copa del Rey round 16.

Rivals Depor are one point and one place above Levante after last weekend's 1-0 triumph over Athletic Bilbao, their second win in their last three league games.

The Galician outfit travels to the Ciudad de Valencia stadium looking for their first win on the road since September 26.

Victor Fernandez's men have mustered just two points since of a possible 18 away from home.

Fernandez could hand Wigan striker Oriol Riera his Depor debut on Friday.

Riera joined Depor on loan until the end of the season having scored one goal in 13 appearances in the Championship this season.

"I'm ready to play," Riera told the Spanish media. "I believe Depor is the right place for me to continue to improve.

"I hope I can give my contribution.

"I'm sure with hard work, the goals will come."

The visitors are without midfielders Lucas Perez and Luis Farinas as well as Portuguese striker Helder Postiga, all out injured.
