Chelsea are readying a £30m bid for Swansea City forward Wilfried Bony after the Ivory Coast international got the backing of his national team colleague Didier Drogba according to the Daily Star.
The Blues are ready to wait until the summer to make their move knowing full well that they will have to battle Man City and Liverpool to land the Liberty Stadium star.
Jose Mourinho is ready to hand Loic Remy to the South Wales side as part of the deal as they look to land the powerful forward.
Bony has proven a massive success since his £12m move from Vitesse Arnhem to Swansea City in the summer of 2013, his total of 20 Premier League goals in 2014 making him the leading scorer for the calendar year.
Chelsea scout Mick Doherty has been scouting Bony and believes his combination of pace, power and explosive finishing is precisely what Chelsea need.
Mourinho is keen to beef up his attack with Remy barely getting a look-in and Drogba clearly in the latter stages of his career.
Bony would offer the West London side a superb alternative to Diego Costa as and when necessary.
