Dunfermline 1 : 1 Peterhead - Spot-on McAllister earns draw
Posted Sunday, January 04, 2015 by PA
Rory McAllister's second-half penalty earned Peterhead a 1-1 draw at 10-man Dunfermline.
The Pars took the lead in the 20th minute when Michael Moffat was tripped by Scott Ross on the edge of the box and Ross Forbes drilled home - his first goal since last February.
Moffat, without a goal since mid-September, should have ended his drought seven minutes before half-time when he burst through but Peterhead goalkeeper Graeme Smith produced a fine save.
McAllister was denied an equaliser early in the second half by a good save from home keeper Ryan Scully before he did make it 1-1 from the spot after Lewis Martin was penalised for a foul on Cammy Kerr.
Dunfermline finished the game with 10 men after Andy Geggan was dismissed for retaliation after clashing with Andrew Rodgers, who was booked.
