Liverpool loanees Jack Dunn and Kevin Stewart made an instant impact for Cheltenham by netting on their debuts as the Robins turned the League Two game on its head with a 2-1 win at Oxford.

It was Cheltenham's first league victory in 10 games, and their first under new boss Paul Buckle.

The U's took the lead in the 19th minute when Wes Burns headed in Danny Hylton's short cross from the right for his first goal for the club.

Oxford controlled possession for most of the opening 45 minutes but they were stunned by two goals in quick succession at the end of the half.

Dunn, 19, latched on to a pass from Lee Vaughan in the 40th minute and fired a low near-post shot under keeper Ryan Clarke from eight yards.

Then in stoppage time at the end of the half, 21-year-old Stewart curled in a shot from 20 yards, with unsighted Clarke only seeing the ball late.

Dunn almost added a third for Cheltenham in the second half, as he went around Clarke, but his angled shot was stopped in front of the goalline by Jake Wright.
