Falkirk vs Alloa Athletic preview - Vaulks back for Bairns

Falkirk welcome back Will Vaulks from suspension for the visit of Alloa.

Vaulks may not be the only addition to the Bairns squad, with manager Peter Houston looking to tie up deals for Mark Kerr from Queen of the South and Aaron Muirhead and English striker Taylor Morgan. Elsewhere, Rory Loy is expected to shake off a knock.

Ahead of the game, Falkirk technical director Alex Smith said: "Alloa will be difficult opponents as they are a very decent footballing side. After losing to Raith last Saturday there is a bit of pressure on us but we can handle that."

Alloa have Stephen Simmons available after a ban but injuries continue to rule out Iain Flannigan (back) and Adam Ashgar (foot).

Manager Barry Smith is looking for his players to show the same level of determination that they displayed against Queen of the South last weekend.

He said: "We were a goal down but the players never gave up and we got something from the game. They showed great spirit to get an equaliser and we could have ended up with better.

"We will need that approach again as Falkirk will be looking to bounce back after going down to Raith Rovers last weekend."
