Wycombe Wanderers vs Hartlepool United FC preview - Chairboys miss Cowan-Hall

Wycombe begin life without Paris Cowan-Hall when they host rock-bottom Hartlepool.

The 24-year-old had scored five goals in his last six matches before agreeing a move to Millwall and his departure will leave Gareth Ainsworth's squad extremely stretched.

The Chairboys boss, who recently penned a contract extension, was able to name just four substitutes when they drew 0-0 with Shrewsbury on Sunday and he is likely to be short of bodies once more.

Paul Hayes missed that stalemate through injury but they are hopeful he will be able to return to action along with Danny Rowe.

Hartlepool midfielder Michael Woods will return to contention after sitting out a one-game ban, but striker Marlon Harewood is still suspended.

Woods was sent off in the Boxing Day draw at Mansfield for two yellow-card offences, while Harewood sits out the second game of a three-match ban for his straight red card in the same match.

Midfielder Tommy Miller, who last appeared for Pools at the end of October, has had a setback in his recovery from a calf injury and is back in rehabilitation.

Ronnie Moore is chasing his first win in four games as manager, while Pools are bidding for their first league win since a 2-1 victory at Exeter in October.
