Oxford United vs Cheltenham Town preview - Dunkley set for home U's bow

Cheyenne Dunkley could make his full home debut for Oxford when they host Cheltenham.

The 22-year-old signing from Kidderminster made his first start for the U's in Sunday's 2-1 win over 10-man Plymouth and he looks likely to keep his place in Michael Appleton's starting line-up.

At the other end of the pitch, John Campbell's first goal for the club could earn him a start but while fellow forward Will Hoskins is on the road to recovery, this match comes too soon for the former Brighton striker.

Oxford have won just one match on home soil since mid-October and are yet to beat Cheltenham in their two previous meetings this season.

Cheltenham could hand debuts to as many as three players when they make the trip.

Liverpool loanees Lloyd Jones, Kevin Stewart and Jack Dunn arrived at Whaddon Road on Thursday morning and will be available for Paul Buckle at the Kassam.

Kane Ferdinand is also set to be involved having extended his loan stay from Peterborough until the end of the campaign but Asa Hall will not be involved having been ruled out for six weeks with an Achilles injury.

Captain Matt Taylor is also on the sidelines having suffered a hamstring tear as Buckle looks for his first win in charge of the club.
