MK Dons vs Chesterfield preview - Robbo names Dons line-up

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has taken the unusual step of naming his team ahead of the FA Cup rematch against Chesterfield.

Robinson will make five changes to the side that lost 3-0 to Walsall on Sunday. Dele Alli will be given a much-needed rest, so former Spireite Mark Randall will come in for him, while Antony Kay will also be given a break, meaning George Baldock will start at right-back and Jordan Spence at centre-half alongside Kyle McFadzean.

Benik Afobe will start in place of Will Grigg as part of the Dons' usual rotation up front, while Danny Green and Daniel Powell will replace Samir Carruthers and Carl Baker on the wings.

Sam Morsy comes back into contention for Chesterfield following a three-match suspension.

Fellow midfielder Jimmy Ryan will be assessed after injury saw him miss the goalless draw against Coventry on Sunday.

Armand Gnanduillet came off at the Ricoh Arena but the big striker is expected to be fit.

Chesterfield were 1-0 winners of the original tie on December 6, courtesy of a Gnanduillet header. However, the Spireites had their place in the third round taken away and were ordered to replay the game after it emerged they had fielded an ineligible player - on-loan Wolves centre-half Georg Margreitter.

The winners will travel to Scunthorpe in round three, with that tie to be played on January 6.
