Transfer news: Everton to recall John Lundstram from Blackpool

John Lundstram: Heading back to Everton

Everton are to recall midfielder John Lundstram from his loan spell with Championship strugglers Blackpool.

The 20-year-old moved to Bloomfield Road in August and was a regular in the Seasiders' starting XI until the arrival of Lee Clark as manager at the end of October.

However, Lundstram has not featured for Blackpool, who are currently six points adrift at the bottom of the table, since the 3-1 defeat at Leeds on November 8.

He has been an unused substitute for the last two matches and will now return to Everton on January 3.

Lundstram has had previous loan spells with Doncaster, Yeovil and Leyton Orient but is yet to make a first-team appearance for Everton.

He has played for England at U17, U18, U19 and U20 level.
